Jesse Jackson was born in Greenville, South Carolina, in 1941. He received a football scholarship when he graduated from Sterling High School. In 1965 he met Martin Luther King Jr, in Selma March to help get
black protestors.
In 1979 he became interested in civil rights all around the world. He went to Egypt and met their President.
